sonett - 3rd clutch pressure plate

I had clutch problems where my clutch would not fully release. This was on my clutch that was several years old. I swapped it the pressure plate with a brand new Sachs unit. This was my 2nd clutch pressure plate. This one had a notchy movement on one of the release arms. I did some hand filing work to remove most of the notchiness. I then installed everything back in the car. Initially the clutch felt great however within a couple weeks and a couple hundred miles, the clutch was toast again. Upon dissasembly I found that one release arm (a different one) would get stuck half way up. Another arm (the originally notchy one) was once again notchy. It was shot.

So I purchased my 3rd pressure plate. Sachs is the only company that makes clutches for this vehicle so unfortunately I bought another one. I checked the movement of the 3rd pressure plate upon receipt and found that it too had notchy movement on the arms. This time I took it to a machine shop to professionally file.
